Lufenuron is a white crystal organic substance, mainly used for the control of lepidopteran and coleopteran larvae and biting and sucking insects. This systemic insecticide is known to be an inhibitor of chitin synthesis in the cuticle of insects.
Lufenuron is extensively applied in cotton, maize, potatoes, grapes, citrus, and ornamentals.
It is also used in veterinary medicine as a flea control treatment and as an anti-fungal agent for dogs and cats.
